Do you need multiple root canals or tooth extractions? Do you have widespread gum disease that’s destroying your gum tissue? When dental woes add up, sometimes the easier solution is to replace your teeth with dentures.
Contrary to what you might believe, not everyone who wears dentures is in their golden years. For patients with ongoing or severe dental problems, the hassles and stress of constant treatments can detract from your quality of life. Dentures offer you the opportunity to restore your smile with a durable prosthetic replacement that is easy to care for and beautiful to look at.
As dentists, we at My Value Smiles always try to preserve teeth when possible. But we also know that years of ongoing costly dental work is not the best option for all of our patients. If you’d like an assessment of your dental situation, call us to set up an appointment at our Lithia Springs dental office.
We will examine your teeth and gums and give you a full explanation of all recommended treatments, including an estimate of the projected costs. If you are interested in dentures, we will also tell you about the pros and cons of this treatment to help you make an informed decision.
If you need dentures we are currently offering them at a special low price of only $499-699. Call My Value Smiles at to learn more about this offer! Call us today at 770-489-9141.
Types of Dentures
There are essentially three types of dentures: full dentures, partial dentures, and implant dentures, (although implant dentures can be either full or partial, for the record.)
Full Dentures – These replace an entire arch of teeth, either the top, bottom, or both. Most patients do not lose all their teeth at once, so some extractions must take place before full dentures can be created to fit your mouth. Dentures sit over the gums, and are used for eating and speaking during the waking hours.
Partial Dentures – When a patient has lost many teeth on both the left and right side of an arch, but still has healthy teeth they would like to hold onto, a partial denture can replace the missing teeth with a one-piece construction.
Implant Dentures – Rather than just sit atop the gum tissue, implant-based dentures are attached to the bones of the jaw via small titanium screws (implants). Implant dentures feel and act more like natural teeth and prevent jaw bone deterioration over time. This type of denture is better for your overall and long-term oral health, but they do cost significantly more than traditional dentures.
