There are a lot of reasons why you might need to have a tooth extracted. A badly decayed tooth may not be salvageable with root canal therapy, or a painful abscess may have developed below a tooth. Gum disease can also render a tooth useless, or teeth may need to be removed in preparation for dentures or dental implants.
Whatever, the cause, if you need a tooth pulled, My Value Smiles is here to help. Tooth extractions are gentle and stress-free, and for a limited time, they are available at a reduced rate.
For only $119-169, our uninsured patients can have a tooth extracted in our Lithia Springs and Douglasville dental practice. Call us at 770-489-9141 to schedule an appointment.
What Happens During an Extraction
During your extraction, we will go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable at every step. The first step is administering a numbing agent, so you will not feel any pain during the procedure. The tooth is removed quickly, and we provide after-care instructions so the open space left in your gums will heal safely and quickly. We can even provide dental sedation if you are nervous about needles or pain, or wish to avoid any dental anxiety.
If you need wisdom teeth extracted, we can also provide this treatment. Read our page on wisdom teeth to learn more about our services.
Can You Replace a Lost Tooth?
At My Value Smiles, we love to see healthy mouths and beautiful smiles. Losing one tooth puts you at a greater risk of losing more teeth in the future, and can disrupt your alignment and lead to cracked teeth and eroded enamel. It also can affect your confidence and make you less likely to smile and be yourself around your friends and colleagues. We always recommend our patients replace extracted teeth before too much time passes.
There are multiple options for tooth replacement:
Dental Bridges – The most affordable option for replacing a single missing tooth is a dental bridge. This treatment uses the healthy teeth surrounding your gap to hold a permanently attached false tooth (pontic) in place, to restore the appearance and function of the lost tooth. Dental bridges hold the teeth in place, so they do not shift. A bridge will give you back a tooth to chew your food with and look beautiful in your smile.
Dental Implants – A healthier and longer lasting option for single tooth replacement is a dental implant and crown combination. Rather than only replace the tooth above the gum line, as a bridge does, and implant replaces the whole tooth–root to crown. Dental implants are healthier for your jaw bone and are free-standing; they do not rely on the health of nearby teeth for stability.
Dentures and Partial Dentures – If you’ve lost multiple teeth, a full or partial denture may be the best way to restore the appearance and use of your teeth.
Call Us Today for a Consultation
Many people have problem teeth, but are not sure whether the tooth can be fixed or not. When you come to My Value Smiles, one of our compassionate and qualified dentists will assess the state of your tooth and make a treatment plan. If it can be restored, we may recommend a dental filling or root canal. If the tooth has sustained too much damage, or if an infection has spread beyond the tooth, we will usually recommend an extraction, followed by tooth replacement.
The good news is that this treatment does not have to cost you an arm and a leg. If you have been suffering from tooth pain for a long time, an extraction will bring you instant relief, and cost you only $119-169 (through September 30, 2017).
